Tooth Bonding

Bonding can be used a restore teeth that are chipped, discoloured, or to fill in minor gaps between teeth, and is an alternative to veneers.
How does it work?
The tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. Once the liquid sets, a plastic resin is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by the dentist. Once set, the resin is trimmed and smoothed to a natural appearance.
Considerations
Bonding can often be completed in one visit and can significantly improve the appearance of your smile. However, the plastic material is not as strong as your natural teeth, and it more likely to stain and chip than natural teeth. Bonding typically lasts 3-5 years before repair is needed.
